Canberra Rally
On February 12th, 2002 about 3000 people rallied in Canberra at the opening of the new Parliament, calling for the release of asylum seekers from Australian Immigration Detention centres. ChilOut was in attendance, highlighting the plight of child detainees.
We are all "Boat People" - police contain protestors outside Parliament House.
"Free the Refugees" - a fence with "razor wire" erected outside Parliament House.
